General description

A nitric oxide (NO) donor. A stable NO-amine complex that can spontaneously release two equivalents of NO in solution under physiological conditions without any cofactor. Half-life (t½) in PBS, pH 7.4 is 93 minutes at 22°C. Relatively stable in alkaline solution (pH ≥10.0).

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution in alkaline solution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Unstable in aqueous solutions; reconstitute in H₂O just prior to use. Alkaline stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
