A fluorogenic substrate for furin (k_cat/K_m ~2 X 10⁴ M^-1 s^-1), a mammalian homolog of the yeast Kex2 endoprotease. Also serves as a substrate for related protein, prohormone convertase 2 (PC2) (k_cat/K_m ~6 X 10³ M^-1 s^-1). Excitation max: ~360-380 nm; emission max: ~430-460 nm).
