General description

Di-tert-butyl iminodiacetate is a secondary amine.

Application

Di-tert-butyl iminodiacetate may be used as a reagent in the synthesis of:
  • multi-carboxylic acid-containing carbocyanine dyes[1]
  • monosubstituted difunctionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) monomers[2]
  • multigenerational fluorinated dendrimers[3]
  • 2,6-dipyrazol-1-ylpyridine derivatives[4]
It may also be used for the preparation of di-tert-butyl N-(4-allyloxy-4-oxobutanoyl)iminodiacetate.[5]
