Legal Entity Integration of AmpTec GmbH into Merck Life Science KGaA

The purpose of this notice is to inform you of forthcoming changes to the AmpTec GmbH legal entity.

• On April 2^nd, 2024, AmpTec GmbH will be merged into the Merck Life Science KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, and cease to exist as a legal entity.
• All business operations relating to all services provided by AmpTec GmbH to you will be seamlessly continued by Merck Life Science KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.

As a client, you will benefit from this development by having a single legal entity for all services related to our mRNA drug substance contract development and manufacturing offering.

Ordering Information

Due to the integration of the AmpTec GmbH business, there will be changes to some of our contact and ordering details.

As of April 2^nd, 2024, we ask you to place any new order with Merck Life Science KGaA. Accordingly, for orders placed on or after that date, you will receive corresponding invoices from Merck Life Science KGaA.

Please ensure the following changes which take effect April 2^nd, 2024 are reflected in your systems and information is current for contracts and your chosen method for placing orders.

Data Privacy Notice

As a result of our corporate reorganization, in order for us to continue processing your customer data in support of our contractual relationship, it is necessary that we transfer your customer data from AmpTec GmbH to the governing entity as mentioned above. In compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, we write to inform you about key aspects of the transfer of personal data.

Together with commercial processes, the necessary data will be transferred from AmpTec GmbH to the governing entity as mentioned above. We will only transfer the necessary personal data to make the business transition possible. Such data will include the name, phone number, and email address.. The recipient of personal data will be the governing entity as mentioned above. The recipient will use the personal data for the purpose of fulfilling the contractual relationship.

The legal basis for the data transfer is our legitimate interest in continuing all business operations. If you object to this transfer, you have two weeks from the date of this notice in which to provide us your objection by emailing us at privacy@merckgroup.com.
