General description

Isofenphos is an organophosphorus pesticide, used for the control of larvae of Popillia japonica Newman, soil-dwelling pests of corn (Amaze), Delia antiqua (Onion flies), Chamaepsila rosae (carrot flies), wireworms, etc. Toxicologically, the pesticide acts by the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity.[1][2][3]

Application

Isofenphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the pesticide residue in meat samples,[4] leeks,[5] rice[6] and human tissues[7] by various chromatography techniques.
