General description

Kit contains a protocol, 2 tubes of Amplifex Keto reagent and 2 tubes of diluent.  Each tube contains enough reagent to complete 25 reactions.

Application

It was used in targeted metabolomic analysis, in a study done to understand the mitochondrial thiol modification, by targeted electrophile, which inhibits metabolism in breast adenocarcinoma cells. It may also be used in the oxosteroid chemical derivatization kit, in a study to determine the neurosteroids in sea lamprey by UPLC-MS/MS.

Analysis Note

Many cancer cells follow an aberrant metabolic program to maintain energy for rapid cell proliferation. Metabolic reprogramming often involves the upregulation of glutaminolysis to generate reducing equivalents for the electron transport chain and amino acids for protein synthesis. Critical enzymes
