General description

Cellvento® 4Feed is a chemically defined feed formulation comprising components of non-animal origin. The product is useful for the development and manufacturing of biotherapeutics in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell-based expression systems. Cellvento 4Feed is a highly concentrated, neutral pH feed that replenishes depleted nutrients required for cellular function. It maintains and extends the production phase in fed-batch mode. Cellvento 4Feed contains cysteine and tyrosine derivatives which release free cysteine and free tyrosine slowly throughout the culture. This is often related to higher cell growth and productivity. Cellvento 4Feed COMP is the feed format in compacted dry powder.

Application

Cellvento® 4Feed has been designed to support optimal cell growth and performance of chinese hamster ovary (CHO) suspension cell types and other CHO cell lines. It has also been used as a companion feed supplement with the production medium Cellvento CHO in fed-batch manufacturing processes.
