Application

11-Mercaptoundecylhydroquinone forms a thiol based self-assembled monolayer (SAM) that facilitates the surface modification by immobilizing the surface atoms. It can be used in functionalization of quantum dots for potential application in sensors and other optoelectronics devices. It can also be coated on the gold electrode for electrical energy storage.[1][2]
