N-(2-Pyridyl)bis(trifluoromethanesulfonimide) (2-[N,N-Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amino]pyridine, N,N-Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)-2-pyridylamine)) is a useful triflating reagent. It has been synthesized by reacting 2-aminopyridine and triflic anhydride.[1]

Application

N-(2-Pyridyl)bis(trifluoromethanesulfonimide) may be used in the synthesis of aryl triflates and vinyl triflates.[1]
