Application

Biochem/physiol Actions

EIF4ENIF1 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E nuclear import factor 1) encodes a protein that shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm and mediates the nuclear import of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E) by interacting with the importin α-β complex via a piggy-back mechanism. eIF4E functions in the control of cell growth.
