General description

Monoclonal Anti-Goat IgG (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse.
The antibody reacts with an epitope located on the heavy chain of goat IgG1 and IgG2.
The product binds to all goat/sheep IgG1

Application

Monoclonal Anti-Goat/Sheep IgG-Biotin antibody produced in mouse has been used in:
  • enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA)
  • immunoblotting
  • dot blotting
  • immunohistochemistry
  • immunocytochemistry

Monoclonal Anti-Goat/Sheep IgG-Biotin antibody produced in mouse may be used for ELISA at a minimum working dilution of 1:5000. It was used at a working dilution of 1:1000 to visualize collagen type IV in mouse digit sections.

Biochem/physiol Actions

IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant of serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defense of the neonate against infections. The coupling of biotin allows for the binding of various labels such as avidin or streptavidin.

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 15 mM sodium azide
