General description
Safe Lid has the same sieve configuration as the standard perforated lid with 300 holes of 0.6 mm diameter. This ensures an identical impact velocity of 19.6 m/s and a nominal d50 of 1.1 μm. The simplified validation of the recovery rates according to EN 17141 resulted in comparable values for both perforated lids.
Application
Features and Benefits
- Collection efficiency of ISO 14698 validated MAS-100 NT® is comparable for standard perforated lids and Safe Lid (verified by simplified validation acc. EN 17141).
- Reproducible results thanks to 100% visual, camera-based control of the holes.
- Flow rate with MAS-100 NT® is 100 SLPM ± 5% .
- By using the Safe Lid, at least 10% more samples can be taken per battery charge.
- Enable tracking for digital data analysis and trending based on individual GS1 barcode.
- Thanks to the ready-to-use and sterile format, no daily autoclaving process is required.
- The non-twisting closure allows quick exchange of lids and supports robotic handling.
- Individual barcodes enable tracking using digital workflows.
- The prevention of cross-contamination during transfer into cleanrooms is ensured by the individual double packaging.
- Sterility prevents false positives.
- Single use followed by disposal minimizes the risk of exposure to potentially toxic airborne substances.
