Descripción general

La 1-vinil-2-pirrolidinona es un líquido de incoloro a amarillo, con un olor característico. Su punto de fusión se encuentra en torno a 13,5oC y hierve a 90-92oC. La VP es completamente miscible en agua y en la mayoría de los disolventes orgánicos, pero parcialmente miscible en los hidrocarburos alifáticos. Se ha comunicado la producción industrial de VP mediante la reacción de 2-pirrolidona con acetileno a presión y temperatura elevadas. El proceso de vinilación se produce en fase líquida y es catalizado por 3-pirrolidona-hidróxido de potasio.

Aplicación

La 1-vinil-2-pirrolidinona (VP) se utiliza en el estudio de las características macrofotoiniciadoras de moléculas de tipo poli (vinilcloruro).[1] También se ha utilizado para estudiar la genotoxicidad de nanopartículas de plata recubiertas de polivinipirrolidona.[2]

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
