[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 can be prepared from 2-iodopyrazine.

Application

[Ru(bpz)3][PF6]2 may be employed as a photocatalyst during the preparation of cyclopentylamine derivatives, via visible light-assisted cycloaddition reaction of N-arylcyclopropylamines with styrene derivatives. It may also be employed for the photocatalytic synthesis of trans-substituted cyclohexene derivative.
