Docosane is classified under the n-alkane family of hydrocarbons which are usually found as the minor constituents of unsaponifiable fraction of oils and fats.

Application

Docosane may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in animal samples, aerosol samples, chlorinated paraffins, and environmental samples by various chromatographic techniques.
