Biochem/physiol Actions

Angiotensin A (Ang A) is an endogenous vasoconstrictor octapeptide. It is a derivative of angiotensin II (Ang II) that differs from Ang II in having alanine instead of aspartic acid as the first amino acid. Angiotensin A has similar affinity as Angiotensin II for AT1 and AT2 receptors with Ki values of 1.6 and 2.3 nM at AT1 and AT2 receptors.
Derivative of angiotensin II (Ang II) that differs from Ang II in having alanine instead of aspartic acid as the first amino acid; endogenous vasoconstrictor peptide.
