Application
- Chlorosilanes via silanization, which are used to prepare silica/polydimethylsiloxane membranes to study permeation performance.[1]
- Silicon carbide (SiC) nanoparticles by sol-gel method.[2]
- Calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) by treating with CaO and water via hydrothermal reaction.[3]
- Si/PtO2 catalyst for the selective conversion of cinnamaldehyde to cinnamic acid by aerobic oxidation.[4]
It can be also used in the preparation of:
- Silica sulfuric acid catalyst used in the synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones via one-pot three-component Biginelli reaction.[5]
- HClO4-SiO2 heterogeneous catalyst used in the synthesis of tetrasubstituted imidazoles.[6]
