General description

S400HR-750ML′s updated product is GE17-0609-01
  • Supplied swollen, suspended in 20% aqueous ethanol
  • Autoclavable
  • Stable to 0.2N sodium hydroxide (NaOH)
  • Store at refrigerated temperature (2-8 °C)

Application

Sephacryl® is used in gel filtration chromatography, protein chromatography, and resins and separation media. Sephacryl® has been used to develop a novel high-throughput screening assay for sickle cell disease drug discovery. Sephacryl® has also been used to purify and characterize enzymes such as bovine pancreatic elastase, tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatases and a lysozyme from human urine.
For size exclusion chromatography; the HR grade is a smaller particle size with narrower size range distribution, allowing for more efficient separations at faster flow rates. Recommended fractionation ranges are listed for globular proteins and dextrans..
