General description

The most basic formulation offered. This formulation is used by investigators who want to start with the essential components of (1;1) DME/Ham's F-12, and have the flexibility to optimize the formula for their own application. This base formulation is particularly suitable for studies of cell protein metabolism with labeL-tagged amino acids.

Quantity

Formulated to contain 14.8 grams of powder per liter of medium.

Reconstitution

Supplement with 0.1545 g/L calcium chloride, 0.365 g/L L-glutamine, 0.05905 g/L L-leucine, 0.09125 g/L L-lysine, 0.0612 g/L magnesium chloride, 0.04884 g/L magnesium sulfate, 0.0172 g/L L-methionine, 1.2 g/L sodium bicarbonate.
