General description
β-Cryptoxanthin, a major source of vitamin A, belongs to the class of xanthophyll carotenoids, which show potential activities against chronic, degenerative diseases and also exhibit cancer chemo-preventive property. It is reported to be found in fruits including papayas, mangoes, peaches, oranges and tangerines.
