General description

IgG is one of the most abundant protein in human serum. IgG is important for our defence against microorganisms and the molecules are produced by B-lymphocytes as a part of our adaptive immune response. The IgG molecule has two separate functions; to bind to the pathogen that elicited the response and to recruit other cells and molecules to destroy the antigen. The variability of the IgG pool is generated by somatic recombination.

Specificity

Reacts with with the heavy chain of human IgG. Absorbed for human IgM, IgD and IgA.

Application

Detect Human IgG γ chain using this Goat anti-Human IgG γ chain Antibody, HRP conjugate, Species Adsorbed validated for use in ELISA.

Physical form

Purified by affinity chromatography on pooled human IgG covalently linked to agarose. Liquid in 50% glycerol/50% PBS, pH 7.4. No preservative added.
