General description

Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 3 µm HPLC columns are designed for universal use and allow the separation of basic, neutral, and metal chelating compounds with simple mobile phases and excellent peak symmetry. They are based on ultra-pure fully porous silica particles (Type B). These columns offer an outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5 over a wide temperature range, and suitability for up to 100% aqueous mobile phases. Plus, they demonstrate best all-round retention characteristics, as proven by the Tanaka test. Thanks to these features, Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 3 µm HPLC columns allow maximum flexibility to use the best chromatographic conditions for any separation including reversed phase.Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 3 µm Hibar® RT 150-4.6 is a ready to use stainless steel column suitable for connection to any HPLC system. The column dimension of 150 mm length x 4.6 mm I.D. is the optimal choice for high resolution HPLC separation of complex samples. The recommended guard column is Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped (5 µm) LiChroCART® 4-4 part number 1.50250.0001. For direct connection to a Hibar® RT columns the Precolumn holder for 4-4 LiChroCART® cartridges, part number 1.51487.0001 can be used.Item 1.50470.1003 is a Validation kit containing 3 Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 3 µm Hibar® RT 250-4.6 HPLC columns from 3 different base material lots.Learn more about Purospher® STAR HPLC and UHPLC ColumnsLearn more about the Supelco HPLC Column portfolio and Method development:Brochure: HPLC and UHPLC Column Selection GuideBrochure: A Practical Guide to HPLC - Method Development Guide
