Description

General description

A stable-labeled internal standard applicable for use in isotope dilution methods or quantitation of methadone levels by GC/MS or LC/MS in forensic analysis, urine drug testing, pain prescription monitoring or clinical toxicology applications. Methadone is a synthetic opioid used medically as an analgesic and as a maintenance anti-addictive for use in patients with opioid dependency. The drug is sold under several trade names such as Symoron, Dolophine^®, Amidone, Methadose^®, Physeptone, or Heptadon.

Application

• Forensic Toxicology Applications: Methadone-D3 is utilized as an internal standard in liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the quantification of methadone-D3 in biological specimens.
