General description

Phosphatidylinositol 3‐phosphate (PI(3)P) is obtained from the phosphorylation of inositol ring of phosphatidylinositol. PI(3)P is localized in the early endosomes, multivesicular endosomes and autophagosomes.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Phosphatidylinositol 3‐phosphate (PI(3)P) regulates the autophagy in lysosomes.
