General description

Retinyl acetate is a naturally occurring long-chain fatty acid ester of retinol (Vitamin A). Retinyl acetate is suitable for use in the retention identification of the analyte when using HPLC and GC. Not intended for use as an activity reference standard.

Application

The analytical standard can also be used as follows:
  • Simultaneous determination of nine major fat-soluble vitamins― retinyl acetate, retinyl palmitate, retinol, α-tocopherol, α-tocopheryl acetate, cholecalciferol, ergocalciferol, phylloquinone, menaquinone in various commercial food product samples by supercritical fluid chromatography combined with mass spectrometric detection
  • Optimization of a supercritical fluid chromatographic method (SFC) for the simultaneous estimation of fat-soluble vitamins (FSVs) in hemp seed oil and waste fish oil samples, in combination with a diode array detector (DAD)
  • High-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) separation and quantification of β-carotene and vitamin A and E esters in infant formulae samples with fluorescence detection (FLD)
  • Analysis of cooking oil samples for the determination of fat-soluble vitamins and carotenoids using an ultra-performance convergence chromatography (UPC2) method
  • Multi-residue estimation of vitamin A and its derivatives in seven cosmetic product samples by liquid chromatography coupled with UV detection
