General description

Nutrient Mixture F-12 is suitable for the growth of primary rat hepatocytes and rat prostate epithelial cells. It is also used in a clonal toxicity assay using Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells.

Application

Nutrient Mixture F-12 Ham has been used:
  • in Minimum Essential Medium to maintain SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells
  • to culture female-originated neuroblastoma cells
  • to culture primary retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells and RPE cell lines

Reconstitution

Supplement with 0.146 g/L L-glutamine.
