General description
Silica gel is a highly porous textured matrix that is generally used as a drying agent to dry all gases and liquids.
Application
Oil bath filling is used for oil baths with a temperature range of around 250°C. These oil baths are ideally used for all temperature control applications.
Silica gel can be used in desiccators; protecting moisture-sensitive substances during storage and transport; maintaining the dryness of anhydrous solvents; packing drying towers to dry gases and solvents. Application temperature capacity is practically independent of temperature up to approx. 65 °C, but decreases significantly at higher temperatures.
