General description

Tumor necrosis factor-a converting enzyme (TACE; ADAM17) is a member of the ADAM (A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease) protein family implicated in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. TACE activates Notch signaling in the epidermal cells and has a critical function in the maintenance of barrier immunity. It is also involved in neurogenesis and muscle development.

Application

Tace Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit has been used in TACE (TNFa converting enzyme) activity assays.

Features and Benefits

Compatible with high-throughput handling systems.

Suitability

Suitable for the screening of inhibitors of TACE.

Principle

The TACE Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit is a rapid, simple and sensitive assay that is suitable for high throughput screening of TACE inhibitors. TACE hydrolyzes a FRET-tagged substrate to release a fluorescent product (λex = 318/ λem = 449 nm), proportional to the enzymatic activity present.
