Description

General description

The product is an acetonitrile solution containing 0.035%v/v trifluoroacetic acid. This pre-blended mobile phase solvent is of high purity that reduces time-consuming preparation and prevents instrument downtime because of impure mobile phases. Trifluoroacetic acid/acetonitrile mobile phase system is generally employed for peptide separation.[1] Acetonitrile (MeCN), an organic solvent[2] has low viscosity, high elution strength and is UV transparent at low wavelength.[3] Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is commonly used as a mobile phase additive. It is a volatile acid that forms hydrophobic negatively charged trifluoroacetate ion.[1]
