Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). By Western blot the antibody reacts with recombinant BDNF protein and also detects the ~28 kDa proBDNF protein in rat brain extracts. The antibody shows no cross reactivity with NGF, NT3 or NT4/5 by Western blot.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from mouse BDNF.

Aging weakens memory functions. Exposing healthy rodents or pathological rodent models to environmental enrichment (EE) housing improves their cognitive functions by changing neuronal levels of excitation, cellular signaling, and plasticity, notably in the hippocampus. At the molecular level, brain derived-neurotrophic
