General description
Recombinant, human epiregulin consisting of amino acids 63-108 and expressed in E. coli with an N-terminal methionine. Epiregulin, expressed primarily in the placenta and macrophages, stimulates fibroblast, smooth muscle cell, and hepatocyte proliferation.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ED₅₀ = 0.125-0.75 ng/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay using Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblasts.

Physical form
Lyophilized from 0.2 µm sterile-filtered PBS, BSA.
Reconstitution
Following reconstitution refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 4°C or for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute to 100 µg/ml in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
