General description

Sucrose gradient-purified, gamma-irradiated CHIKVMAU E2 protein (Mauritius strain 06113879) with Quil-A saponin as adjuvant followed by a second application and later a boost with binary-ethyleneimine inactivated CHIKVASIAN.

Specificity

Clone 1.3A2 specifically detects E2 glycoprotein in Chikungunya virus. May recognize multiple epitopes on E2 protein.

Application

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected E2 of Chikungunya virus in C6/36 mosquito cell lysates either mock-infected (negative) or CHIKV-infected (positive). (Courtesy of Jody Peters, Ph.D., University of Queensland, Australia).

Quality

Isotype testing: Identity Confirmation by Isotyping Test.

Isotyping Analysis: The identity of this monoclonal antibody is confirmed to be mouse IgG2a by isotype testing.

Physical properties

~50 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands may be observed in some lysate(s).

Physical form

Purified mouse monoclonal antibody IgG2a in PBS without azide.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.

Other Notes

Chikungunya virus.
