White′s Basal Salt Mixture is widely used in plant tissue culture.

Application

White′s Basal Salt Mixture has been used:
  • as a medium for the precultured spores of Prothalli of Adiantum capillus for the generation of protonemata
  • to promote germination and cotton cotyledon unfolding
  • as a solidified medium component for culturing A. capillus and as a component of selection medium for gametophyte selection after particle bombardment
