General description
Poly-Prep slides are made of glass and designed for cell adhesion. The slides are coated with Poly-L-Lysine, a non-specific attachment factor for cells useful in promoting cell adhesion on solid substrates. Poly-L-lysine enhances binding between the cell membrane and the cultured surface.
Application
Poly-Prep Slides are used:
- To mount liver and lung cell sections and mounted on poly-prep slides.
- To prove better cell adhesion in clinical bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples.
- To determine pAkt (alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase) expression by immunohistochemistry.
- In immunofluorescence imaging of nuclear translocation of nuclear factor κB(NFκB) in A549 cells.
- To study the phospholipase C-zeta activity of sperm.
- To prepare coelomocytes smears, which were further subjected to antibody staining.
