General description

Dichloromethane has been tested as a solvent medium for dipyridine-chromium(VI) oxide. Solubility was reported to be 12.5g/100ml. The apparent adsorption constant of the TiO2 loaded activated carbon for dichloromethane was found to be inversely proportional to the quantity of loaded TiO2.

Application

Dichloromethane may be used as a solvent for the preparation of stock solutions of carotenoids. It may be employed as a solvent in the synthesis of polylactide-based (PLA) thin films.

This study reports on the production of high-resolution 3D structures of polylactide-based materials via multi-photon polymerization and explores their use as neural tissue engineering scaffolds. To achieve this, a liquid polylactide resin was synthesized in house and rendered photocurable via

A method for the screening of antioxidant activity is reported as a decolorization assay applicable to both lipophilic and hydrophilic antioxidants, including flavonoids, hydroxycinnamates, carotenoids, and plasma antioxidants. The pre-formed radical monocation of 2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS*+) is generated by oxidation
