Initiates intracellular signals and immediate early gene induction. Selective signaling agonist. Potent Jun-NH2 terminal kinase (JNK) agonist. Activates mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases (JNK/SAPK and p38/RK). Antiprotozoal agent.
