General description

Methabenzthiazuron is commonly used to control weeds and grasses, particularly in cereals, legumes and maize fields. It is regarded as very toxic for the environment and aquatic organisms. Mode of action of the herbicide involves inhibition of the ′Hill reaction′.

Application

Methabenzthiazuron may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in drinking water, soil and fruits using various chromatography techniques.
