General description

Di(2-ethylhexyl)adipate is an environmental pollutant belonging to the class of phthalate esters. It is extensively used as an additive in the manufacturing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics which aid in adding flexibility.

Application

Di(2-ethylhexyl)adipate may be used as a reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in food packaging films and water samples using chromatography techniques.
