General description

Pirimiphos-ethyl belongs to the class of organophosphorus pesticides, with contact and respiratory action and is commonly employed for the protection of crops including vegetables, bananas, turf and mushrooms. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity.
