Application

Aminobenzyl-EDTA has been used to develop an ELISA test for the detection of mercury in water. Aminobenzyl-EDTA has also been used in a study to provide a new class of affinity cleaving reagents that can be directed against protein and nucleic acid targets.
Used to incorporate aminobenzyl-EDTA into peptide by reacting with activated carboxylates such as succinimidylester, p-nitrophenylester, and acid chlorides.

Insight into the metabolism of radiolabeled antibodies is important for the design of better radioimaging and therapy agents. To test the effect of linkers that can be cleaved in vivo, we introduced Ala-Leu-Ala-Leu between the antibody Lym-1 and an 111In-labeled

A convenient and straightforward synthesis of an amino acid analog, [p-(N-alpha-Fmoc-L-aspartic acid-beta-amido)benzyl]-EDTA tetra-tert-butyl ester, compatible with Fmoc solid phase peptide synthesis strategy is described. This reagent was used to incorporate p-aminobenzyl-EDTA at an internal sequence position in an HIV-1 Tat

Immunoassays for heavy metals offer an alternative approach to traditional techniques for detection of mercury. In this study, a mercury-chelate was prepared with 1-(4-aminobenzyl) ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid (aminobenzyl-EDTA). The resulting complex was linked to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) or bovine serum

Here we report an approach to the design and production of antibody/ligand pairs, to achieve functional affinity far greater than avidin/biotin. Using fundamental chemical principles, we have developed antibody/ligand pairs that retain the binding specificity of the antibody, but do
