General description

Paroxetine hydrochloride is a phenylpiperidine derivative which is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. The protein binding ability is high.[1] It has 2 forms, non-hygroscopic hemihydrate and hygroscopic anhydrate. This drug is seen useful in treating premature ejaculation in men.[2]
