General description

This certified reference material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. This CRM is traceable to primary material from an NMI, e.g. NIST or NMIJ.
Certified content by quantitative NMR incl. uncertainty and expiry date are given on the certificate.

As per Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009, repealing directive 91/414/EEC, 2,4,5-T is not approved for use in the European Union. But a default maximum residue limit (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg is applicable for the presence of 2,4,5-T (taken as a sum of 2,4,5-T, its salts, and esters) in products of plant origin, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 2015/868.

Application

The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
The 2,4,5-T CRM may also find use in the following:

  • Development of a multi-residue method for the determination of 24 plant growth regulators in 50 grape samples using a modified QuEChERS method and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
  • Development and validation of a method that included acidified QuEChERS extraction and LC-MS/MS determinationͰ based on fast switching between positive and negative electrospray ionization modes, to analyze 35 acid herbicides in food matrices
  • Application of a novel amino-modified covalent organic framework (NH2@COF) as a solid phase extraction (SPE) absorbent to extract carboxylic acid pesticides from environmental water samples
  • Determination of 12 phenoxy carboxylic acids in water samples by using a metal-organic framework (MIL-101) for dispersive solid phase extraction (DSPE) followed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatographic-tandem mass spectrometric (UHPLC-MS/MS) analysis
  • Analysis of 26 acid herbicides in 309 soil samples by dispersive solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
  • Investigating the use of magnetic polyethyleneimine-modified reduced graphene oxide (Fe3O4@PEI-RGO) as an adsorbent for the magnetic solid-phase extraction and HPLC determination of polar acidic herbicides in rice samples
