General description

Endotoxin-Free Dulbecco’s PBS (1X) (w/o Ca++ & Mg++) is sterile filtered through a 0.1 micron filter and is considered endotoxin-free (<0.005 EU/ml).

Application

Endotoxin-Free Dulbecco′s PBS (1X) (w/o Ca++ & Mg++) has been used as a wash buffer during:
  • the isolation of colonic lamina propria cells
  • teratoma formation by induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
  • production of elastic porous injectable (EPI) biomaterial from the bulk scaffolds

  1. Is this made with Bacteriostatic water? I need to reconstitute an enzyme with endotoxin free PBS but the enzyme is inhibited by bacteriostatic water.

    1. The method of preparation is considered proprietary. However, the term 'bacteriostatic' typically implies the presence of benzyl alcohol. No benzyl alcohol is present in the water used to prepare this product.
      The composition is as follows:
      0.2 g/L KCL
      0.2 g/L KH2PO4
      8.0 g/L NaCl
      1.15 g/L Na2HPO4 (anhydrous)

      With the pH adjusted to pH 7.0 to 7.1 using HCl.
