Gigantol is a bibenzyl compound isolated from Dendrobium orchids (Dendrobium aphyllum, Dendrobium draconis, Dendrobium aurantiacum, etc.) that exhibits potent cytotoxic activity against several cancer cell lines. It inhibits the migratory behavior of non-small cell lung cancer cells. Gigantol inhibits galactose-induced formation of cataracts through repression of the gene expression and activity of AR and iNOS.
