The Adenosine 5’-triphosphate (ATP) Bioluminescent Assay Kit may be employed for the quantitative bioluminescent determination of adenosine 5’-triphosphate (ATP) in samples containing 2x10–12 to 8x10–5 moles/liter. ATP is consumed and light is emitted when luciferase catalyzes the oxidation of D-luciferin.
Application
Adenosine 5′-triphosphate (ATP) assay mix has also been used to measure the level of cellular ATP in ATP viability assay.[1][2][3]
The ATP assay kit has been used to measure the level of cellular ATP present in isolated mitochondrial fractions from L. donovani promastigotes. [4]
Components
Contains luciferase, luciferin, MgSO4, EDTA, DTT, BSA, and Tricine buffer.

Bladder wall stretch increases tissue tension and releases adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) as part of a transduction process to sense bladder filling. Aging is associated with bladder fibrosis to produce a stiffer bladder wall: this may augment ATP release and contribute
Cancer stem-like cells (CSCs) are a cell subpopulation that can reinitiate tumors, resist chemotherapy, give rise to metastases and lead to disease relapse because of an acquired resistance to apoptosis. Especially, epigenetic alterations play a crucial role in the regulation

Extracellular ATP (eATP) is released by articular chondrocytes under physiological and pathological conditions. High eATP levels cause pathologic calcification, damage cartilage, and mediate pain. We recently showed that stable over-expression of the progressive ankylosis gene product, ANK, increased chondrocyte eATP
Mitochondria are the principal site for the generation of cellular ATP by oxidative phosphorylation. F0F1-ATP synthase, a complex V of the electron transport chain, is an important constituent of mitochondria-dependent signaling pathways involved in apoptosis. In the present study, we

To characterize sulfate-producing microorganisms from the deteriorated sandstones of Angkor monuments in Cambodia, strains of Mycobacterium spp. were isolated from most probable number-positive cultures. All five strains isolated were able to use both elemental sulfur (S(0)) for chemolithoautotrophic growth and
