Description

General description

Oxaliplatin, a third generation anti-cancer drug platinum compound, is utilized for the treatment of colorectal cancer. It exhibits a better safety profile than cisplatin (first generation) and carboplatin (second generation).[1]

Application

Oxaliplatin may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography[2][3] and electrophoresis[1][4] techniques.
