General description
This Standard Reference Material (SRM) consists of a sintered alumina disc intended for use in calibration of X-ray powder diffraction equipment with respect to line position and intensity as a function of 2θ angle. The solid form of the SRM eliminates any variability in intensity measurements introduced by the sample loading procedure. A unit of SRM 1976b consists of a sintered alumina disc approximately 25.6 mm in diameter by 2.2 mm in thickness. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA.

Application
- Combining simplicity with cost-effectiveness: Investigation of potential counterfeit of proton pump inhibitors through simulated formulations using thin-layer chromatography.: Silica gel thin-layer chromatography was employed to detect counterfeit proton pump inhibitors, demonstrating its application in pharmaceutical quality control (Bhatt et al., 2016).
- Gelified Biofluids for High-Resolution Magic Angle Spinning (1)H NMR Analysis: The Case of Urine.: This study utilized silica gel to gelify urine samples for high-resolution NMR analysis, enhancing the quality and resolution of NMR spectra for metabolic studies (Takis et al., 2017).
- Photochemically Immobilized 4-Methylbenzoyl Cellulose as a Powerful Chiral Stationary Phase for Enantioselective Chromatography.: Silica gel served as the base material for photochemically immobilized chiral stationary phases, improving the separation efficiency in enantioselective chromatography (Francotte et al., 2016).
- Preparation and evaluation of immobilized 4-methylbenzoylcellulose stationary phases for enantioselective separations.: This paper details the preparation of immobilized chiral stationary phases on silica gel for the separation of enantiomers, highlighting its significance in analytical chemistry (Francotte et al., 2016).
- Fluorous modified magnetic mesoporous silica composites-incorporated fluorous solid-phase extraction for the specific enrichment of N-linked glycans with simultaneous exclusion of proteins.: Silica gel composites were used for the selective enrichment of glycans, demonstrating its application in proteomics and glycomics research (Zhao et al., 2016).
