Application

Copper(II) nitrate trihydrate may be used as a copper precursor for the synthesis of a copper(II) complex containing a tridentate (NNS) Schiff base as ligand (HL) that shows moderate antibacterial activity.[1] It is also reported to increase the power conversion efficiency when it is incorporated into titanium dioxide based solar cells followed by treating with sodium hydroxide.[2]
