Con un nivel extraíble de <0,0015 mg/cm2, son ideales como disolvente y preparación de la muestra para HPLC. Debido a su elevada capacidad de fijación no específica no son recomendables para soluciones de proteínas. Compatible con agua y la mayoría de disolventes orgánicos. Para autoclaves; no es afectado por temperaturas de hasta 180 °C.
