Biochem/physiol Actions
Cluster of differentiation 163 (CD163) is a scavenger receptor. It is expressed on the surface of activated macrophages. This protein modulates anti-inflammatory functions and has a role in hemoglobin-haptoglobin clearance. Various cytokines influence the expression of CD163. It may be associated with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Is it possible to analyze plasma containing EDTA and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) using the RAB0082?

According to the supplier, Ray Biotech, plasma samples containing EDTA are not suitable for use in this assay due to its chelating property, as noted in the kit manual. Additionally, the assay has not been directly tested with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), so its compatibility with CSF cannot be confirmed.
